The roster meeting is at 8pm at City Hall in Lake Henry.
Managers be sure to bring:
1. $20 to reimburse the Stearns County League for your teams Minnesota State Baseball Association League fee. (If you are writing a check, please make it out to: Stearns County League Baseball) Kurt Meyer will be sending in one check for all teams prior to this meeting.
2. $6 to reimburse Dave Schneider for your team’s scorebook.
3. Fifteen copies of your roster.
4. Four copies of all contracts for any new players (and releases if necessary).

Stearns County League Pocket Schedules Available
All of the pocket schedules have been distributed to the teams. Contact your manager or visit your local businesses to pick up your schedule. If you have not picked up your schedule by Opening Day, each Concession Stand should have some available.

Roster Meeting Postpone One Week
Due to the weather and forecast for this evening, the league officers have decided to postpone tonight’s Roster Meeting until next week Friday, April 18th, at 8PM in Lake Henry. Should the City Hall be booked that night, Keith Lieser and Tom Ludwig will find another location in Lake Henry and let us know about it.

The Roster Meeting Location Changed to the Sportsman’s Den. Keith Lieser, manager of Lake Henry, said it would be more spacious than the Lake Henry City Hall.

The meeting to bid on hosting the 2008 Region 15C playoffs is at the Horseshoe Bar in Spring Hill at 8PM on Saturday, May 3rd.

St. Martin’s bid to host the 2008 Region 15C tournament has been selected and the games will take place at St. Martin on five dates. The tournament will open with a game on Friday night, August 1st. The other game dates are Saturday and Sunday, August 2nd & 3rd, and Saturday and Sunday, August 9th & 10th. There will be six teams participating: two from the Corn Belt North League, two from the Stearns County League North, and two from the Stearns County League South. Two of the six teams will advance to the State Tournament.

Schedule of Events for Opening Night at St. Martin!
St. Martin is playing its first game under their new lights and they are planning on making it a grand entrance!
Here is the schedule of events for Friday, May 9th:
5:00PM Mora vs. Albany (High School Game)
8:00PM Dedication Ceremony and Blessing of the Lights
8:15PM Richmond vs. St. Martin
Both games will be broadcast on KASM 1150AM in case you cannot attend in person. Will Richmond move to 3-0 on the young season, or will St. Martin move into a tie for 1st in the SCL South with a victory? Find out this Friday!

Greenwald has added Tim Hopfer to their roster. He is not a new player, but needed to sign a new contract because he did not play in 2007 and all players needed to sign new contracts beginning in 2007.

The All-Star Team Selection Meeting is Sunday, June 1st, at 8PM in the Meire Grove City Hall.
Each manager shall provide a list of five of his players and their positions. One of his five players must be a pitcher. We will have a 23-man roster consisting of five pitchers and two players for each fielding position and two players for DH. The pitchers will not bat. The player who finishes third in voting (sixth in pitcher voting) will be the alternate for that position should one of the two All-Stars at that position (one of the five if a pitcher) not be able to attend. Each team must have at least one player on the All-Star team.
The All-Star Game will be Friday, June 13th, at 8:15PM in St. Martin. The Stearns County League All-Stars will play the Corn Belt League All-Stars.

Farming defeated Roscoe on Monday, July 7th, at St. Martin in a play-in game. The two teams had tied for the final playoff position in the Stearns County League South. Farming plays at Lake Henry in Game 1 of their best of three playoff series.

Managers: if you are one of the four Stearns County League teams advancing to Regions, the Regional meeting is on Monday, July 28th, at 8PM at the St. Martin baseball park. Please fill out a Regional roster (available on the Minnesota State Baseball website.) Failure to have a team representative at this meeting merits a $100 fine.
